When you wake up to the sound of the waves and the cry of sea birds overhead, and you roll out of your sleeping bag and get up to shake the sand out of your hair, and are greeted with this sight, you know that in this moment, life is SPECTACULAR.
And that was the last quiet moment of the morning, because our Land Cruisers did what they do so well – climb and slip and slide down sand dunes!
We also made it to the inland sea by the Saudi border. There is a haunting beauty to the infinitely wild and lonely expanses of the desert that words don’t do justice to.
The desert may be wild and lonely, but it can also be a lot of fun. 🙂
